Unique Retail Opportunity

The Alton Mill is seeking a special retailer who will offer unique hand crafted items, beautifully displayed. The shop must have a strong sense of design and unique style that sets it out from the crowd and makes it a destination of its own. While we are already generating strong traffic, we are looking for someone who will build on our strengths with their own marketing and promotion program.
We have a couple of alternative concepts in mind or would love to hear yours. Our ideas are:
- locally-made and/or fairly tranded hand crafted items suitable for gifts or personal use. Items could range from a variety of fine crafts to functional household items, to wearable art to artisanal foods.
- a boutique of unique handmade apparel items sourced from the best fibre artists and designers in Canada and abroad. This would be a great complement to the unique hand-crafted designer jewellery offered next door by Gallery Gemma.
