Welcome Margaret & Steve!
December 11, 2015
The Alton Mill is excited to welcome two new artists! Margaret Pardy and Steve Wilson are the Mill’s latest addition to studio artists on the second floor.
Margaret grew up in Toronto and developed a love for art and animals at an early age. Though born as a city girl she has always loved the outdoors and wildlife and expresses this through her art. Inspiration for her art comes from her cottage in Parry Sound as well as the wildlife that can be found all around. Margaret challenges herself by looking for a different perspective on Wildlife art. As a graduate of Sheridan College she continues to grow as an artist by learning new techniques through workshops as she believes you should never stop learning.
Steve Wilson is an elected member and previously Director of Exhibitions for the Society of Canadian Artists 2012-2014, a member of the Colour and Form Society, Artist, Teacher, and Juror. Steve was on the board of Directors at Beaux-Arts Brampton from 2003-2007 serving as President the last 2 years previously Vise-President of the Mississauga Arts Society. He is represented by Beaux-Arts Gallery, Brampton, Morrison Galleries in Chicago, Jayson Samual Gallery New York and in many private collections throughout the world. His work has also been featured at Queens Park, in The Peel Gallery, Brampton City Hall, Mississauga Gallery and Burnie Regional Art Gallery, Burnie. Tasmania.
