For a more scenic route to Alton from the south, we suggest you take Highway #10 north from Brampton to the Forks of the Credit Road. Turn left and wind your way up Caledon Mountain to the picturesque village of Belfountain. Then cut back to Mississauga Road, and turn left (north) wind your way past the Caledon Ski Club, turn right onto Cataract Road. Go past the Trans Canada Trail entrance to the Forks of the Credit Provincial Park to Charleston Sideroad. Cross Charleston, where the road name changes to Main Street, and continue up past the Osprey Valley Golf Course to Alton. Turn left at the stop sign onto Queen Street, then right onto Amelia Street to the Alton Mill driveway on the left.
