The Alton Mill is a great place to work or to hold your function. The Mill can be yours for short-, medium- or long-term rentals. We have a variety of unique spaces for private functions, meetings, art shows or other events.
Shared and occasionally solo studios are available for monthly rental, and the mill represents a great opportunity for a special retailer or gallery owner.

The Pond Gallery is an ideal venue for special art exhibitions and workshops, particularly for large, strong works. For more intimate work, the Millrace Room may be more suitable. Art groups and individuals can lease the walls of either space for single or multiple weekends, or for a month at a time.

There are still opportunities for artists and artisans to join several shared studios at the Alton Mill, and the Pond Gallery can be leased for regular weekly blocks of time for classes or other activities. Main floor space is available for a special retailer or gallery, and from time to time there are vacancies in other studios.

The Alton Mill has a variety of furnishings and equipment available for rent for your function. We also have several on-site service providers such as a jewellery designer, floral arranger and Shaws Creek Café, which provides light catering.
For full meals we can recommend local caterers with whom we have worked in the past and who are familiar with the facility, or you can bring your own caterer. We can also recommend or arrange other local service providers and our event co-ordinators would be pleased to take on co-ordination of your entire function if you wish.
