The Alton Mill’s combination of art, heritage and modern amenities provides the perfect environment for a truly unique party, fundraiser or wedding. Picture your guests surrounded by art in an industrial-chic, national award-winning restored heritage building, in an idyllic village setting overlooking a waterfall and 3-acre Millpond less than an hour from downtown Toronto.
By special arrangement, the Bartlett Gallery and/or the Headwaters Arts Gallery may be opened to your guests for a pre-dinner reception, a silent auction or just as an art-filled place to mingle away from the main celebration in the Millrace Room. Our coordinator can arrange to have Alton Mill artists conduct special activities for your guests, ranging from portrait demostrations to group painting projects, and also can arrange for classes and workshops for before or after your event.
Our full wedding package includes pre-event coordination, the use of the Millrace, Turbine and Riverside Rooms, Waterfall Courtyard, tables and chairs, rights to on-site photography and full use of the grounds by guests before and during the function. There are several beautiful locations for outdoor ceremonies, which can be held on-site for an additional charge. Outdoor ceremonies include the use of one of our art galleries (Morin, Bartlett or Falls) in case of inclement weather and/or for a post-ceremony stand-up reception prior to moving in to the Millrace Room for dinner and dancing.
