About
Debra’s abstract paintings explore the impact of bold colour and dynamics of form to create movement and energy in the composition with gestural brushstrokes. Her paintings can be found in private collections in Canada, U.S. and Europe. Debra graduated with BFA Honours in Visual Arts from York University, Commercial Arts Certificate from George Brown College and studied at Sheridan College School of Design. Debra has exhibited in group exhibitions in Toronto , Brampton, Caledon and surrounding areas and her paintings have been selected in juried shows and has received awards. Her most recent solo exhibition explored the extension of musical rythmn and feeling of Brazilian music with expressive colour and brushstroke. Debra has a studio at the historical Alton Mill.
