Small Wonders Art Exhibition

Headwaters Art Gallery is excited to present their first show of 2016, Small Wonders! Located on the main floor of the Alton Mill, this new art exhibition is on from January 6^th – February 14^th 2106.

Small Wonders is a show about small art – big ideas!  The show features two and three-dimensional works that are 12”x12” in size. Participating artists are challenged to use their creativity, sense of design and imagination to produce works that fit this show’s theme. This salon style show, with an eclectic mix of wall art and sculpture, encourages viewers to create movement within the gallery; walking between sculptures, taking a close look at art, stepping back to view multiple works at once. The small-scale nature of the art invites viewers in, allowing them to discover details about the work that would go unnoticed from a distance. This opens up communication between the artist, their message and the viewer, giving the viewer an opportunity to interpret what the piece means to them and ask questions along the way. A truly unique and intimate experience!

Be sure to mark your calendars for Small Wonders’ opening reception taking place on January 9^th 1pm-4pm at Headwaters Art Gallery. All are welcome to attend free of cost, enjoy some light refreshments and great art!
