Three Unique Art Exhibitions ON NOW
This month, the Alton Mill Arts Centre features three exceptional exhibitions, each offering a unique perspective and artistic style.
In the Headwaters Arts Gallery, Migration – Moving Through, a show of new and exploratory works inviting you into new territory, from the soulful and expressive landscapes of painter CJ Shelton to the enhanced surfaces and forms of clay artist Ann Randeraad.
The Pond Gallery hosts Ishkwanidiwin, a celebration of Indigenous creativity and resilience, showcasing the works of five talented artists whose diverse practices honour cultural traditions while exploring contemporary expressions.
In Gallery 104, Karen Brown presents the encaustics show Perfectly Imperfect, which features works inspired by the art of Kintsugi; the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold - a metaphor for embracing our flaws and imperfections.
