About
Welcome to Studio 213, the new home gallery of Artist Catherine Bobesich.
Catherine Bobesich believes that art brings joy and positive energy into the home, transforming it into a living, breathing space. Specializing in acrylic on canvas, she infuses her work with movement and dynamism through textured layers, depth, and vibrant colors. Her art reflects her philosophy of living a joyful, healthy life, with each piece radiating confidence, boldness, and energy.
After decades of living in Oakville, Catherine recently relocated to Campbellville and feels very welcomed by the Alton Mill community. Prior to her life in Campbellville, Catherine spent the early years of her career painting in Toronto’s Distillery District. Catherine's art has been exhibited widely, with her most recent show, DVA ARTISTAS INSPIRED, running for six weeks at the Alton Mill.
As a long-time supporter of the arts, Catherine has served on the boards of Oakville Galleries and the Oakville Arts Council for over a decade. Her diverse background in fashion design, interior design, and wellness consulting shapes her unique perspective, which is evident in her wide-ranging styles and techniques. Each piece of her art is a reflection of her own life experiences, embracing themes of beauty, joy, and inner confidence.
In addition to her paintings, Catherine welcomes commissioned pieces, with past work including bracelet cuffs, which draw on her extensive world travels and background in design.
Catherine believes that art is meant to be experienced, becoming an integral part of life—just as it is an extension of the artist’s soul. Her work enhances the life experience of those who engage with it, offering healing and inspiration.
As Catherine continues to explore new creative ideas, she is eager to push her artistic boundaries and find fresh ways to showcase her work, including a potential wearable collection and a gift line for the holidays. Ecstatic to be part of the vibrant Alton Mill community, she warmly welcomes all who visit. Her door is always open - come by and chat!
