Live Outdoor Performance by the Humber River Shakespeare Company!

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls... Step right up to see the amazing, zany, dark, chaotic and upside-down farce: The Comedy of Errors.

Come one, come all, and prepare to be tickled with laughter, baffled by coincidence, stunned by strangeness, and delighted with disaster at the hands of strange visitors, burlesque dancers, fortune tellers, and magicians.

Pandemonium takes place when two sets of identical twins are separated during a shipwreck. Now, years later, both sets of twins appear in the same town and hysterical laughter ensues as servants mistake masters, doctors mistake patients and wives mistake husbands.

The Comedy of Errors is a fast paced comedy taking you on a roller coaster ride of mistaken identity leading to seduction, arrest, infidelity, beatings, theft and general all round madness.

The Humber River Shakespeare Company is a professional troupe, returning to the Alton Mill for 2 evening performances: Fri. July 16 and Sat. 17 at 7:00pm. Admission pay-what-you-can (suggested donation $20 - all proceeds to the theatre company). Advanced tickets may be purchased online or tickets are available at the door on a first-come first-served basis. Bring your own lawn chair or rent one of ours for $5.00. (Performance will be held indoors in case of rain.)

Shaw’s Creek Café is offering a boxed meal from 4:00 pm on that you and your family can enjoy on the Alton Mill’s beautiful grounds. Throw a picnic blanket under our gorgeous cherry tree and enjoy the evening outdoors.
Or venture next door to our neighbour, the Millcroft Inn and Spa where Chef Jill St-Amour is preparing a special pre-theatre BBQ dinner for $19.95 from 4 to 6:30 pm (reservations recommended 519-941-8111).
