Trilogy

Each artist shares their special method of working with their chosen medium. Kathryn Thompson is a glass blower who creates ethereal bowls and vases and also uses thetechnique of sandblasting to create stories on these and her more sculptural pieces.

Marnie Cooke, a contemporary interpretive artist, paints using acrylics, in a bright, colourfuland interpretive, impressionistic style using nature as her main inspiration.

Lawrence Kristan turns wood, creating beautiful organic feeling vases and bowls using native wood such as spalted or silver maple and box alder, among others.

Says Kathryn Thompson, “The juxtaposition of these three very different mediums is sure to excite the viewer as they experience the unique yet complimentary works of art displaying light, colour, and texture of paint, glass and wood.”
Marnie adds, “This show captures all the qualities of light, colour and technique then juxtaposes three very different mediums that compliment each other beautifully.”

This show promises to present all things beautiful, which will most certainly bring enjoyment and intrigue to all those who visit the show. Not to be missed!
