The artwork of CJ Shelton reflects the scope of skill and variety that her extensive experience as a technical illustrator, wallpaper and graphic designer have developed.
Carol (“C.J.”) Shelton is best known for her highly detailed architectural renderings and portraitiure of heritage sites and private residences which she has been actively doing for over 30 years throughout York Region and now Dufferin/Peel.
In the past few years CJ has became fascinated with more intuitive art forms and exploring the therapeutic qualities and benefits of various art processes when combined with alternative health practices. The result have been her visually harmonious mandalas ("mandala" meaning any artwork created in a circular pattern) that take their inspiration from the natural world and blend Celtic and Native elements with the principles of sacred geometry.
From her studio at the Alton Mill, CJ now offers her two distinctively different art forms which reflect a complementary balance of "left" brain skill and realism with intuitive "right" brain imagery.
Along with her training in Visual Arts, Illustration at Sheridan College, CJ has also studied a combination of social service work, therapeutic arts facilitation, psychology, counselling and shamanic practices. She now utilizes her skills and artistic abilities to work one-to-one and in small groups facilitating explorations of the creative spirit.
With the natural world as a focus and through blending teachings from Celtic, Native and mythological traditions, CJ’s workshops are a magical mix of creativity, fun, meditational relaxation and inspiration.

Classes & Workshops
MONTHLY MANDALA & SACRED GEOMETRY WORKSHOPS in Studio 202
CJ Shelton offers different workshops every month in mandala making, an ancient art form that helps us to find our centre and create balance in our lives. This meditative process provides a quiet place for creative self-expression amidst the hectic pace of life.
Using teachings from the natural world, CJ's workshops give you a great overall experience and introduction to sacred geometry and mandala making in about 3 to 4 hours. With Prismacolour pencils, pastels and other assorted materials, anyone can learn to create beautiful luminous designs. No artistic experience is necessary.

BASIC WORKSHOP INFORMATION:
TIMES: all workshops run from 10am to 2pm with a short break for lunch (light lunches may be purchased at Shaw's Creek Cafe at the Alton Mill, cost is not included in workshop price)
COST: $75 per person, taxes and all supplies included

Please note that the Flower of Life Sacred Geometry workshop is now being offered in three parts. It is recommended that PART 1 "Seed to Seed" be taken first or if you have already taken it in the past you can take PART 2.
