The Hive: Etched Copper Cuff

Make a beautiful etched copper cuff bracelet! Explore drawing, etching, 'patinaing', and metal forming.

You will be the designer from start to finish and will create your own pattern to be used as a resist which will be etched into the surface of the copper.  Once etched, you will form your copper into a comfortable one-of-a-kind bracelet. 

 

All materials, tools, safety equipment will be provided.  Etching kits will be available in case students wish to purchase materials after the class for home use.  There will be a 30-minute break midway through the class to allow the metal to etch.  This is a great time for students to get up, stretch their legs, and explore the Mill.
