Five members of the Mississauga Watercolour Society are having a Fall Show, with original water-media paintings in Falls Gallery from September 11th until October 6th. The participating members are: Gail Backus, Ed Clark, Maria Hayward, Doreen Renner, and Hooshang Zahiri. Admission if free, and everyone is welcome.

The Mississauga Watercolour Society was formed in the early 1970’s, and is now over forty years old. It is comprised of artists who meet once a week to share ideas and paint. They meet from early September until the end of May, at Riverwood, Visual Arts Centre, Mississauga, and often go on painting trips to nearby locations during the summer months.

The members paint diverse subject matter, such as: landscapes, seascapes, florals, portraits, abstracts, and non-objective paintings. They have two shows a year at Riverwood, which are well attended. Many of the members of this group have not only entered, but won awards at prestigious juried shows. Their paintings are presently hanging in both private and corporate collections in Canada, United States, Europe, and Asia.

The Show will take place in The Falls Gallery, September 11 - Oct 6.
