Strengthen your skills or try something new; be inspired by bold autumn colours in the picturesque Village of Alton! Sign up for one session, or a series of classes, offered by expert artists at the Mill. For registration and further information please contact the teaching artists directly using the links below.
Oil Painting with Brenda Loschiavo starting September 12th; beginners welcome. Brenda is expanding her practice at the Mill into a second studio as of September 1st and will be maintaining a gallery in studio 213, and using 211 as a dedicated teaching space. Brenda teaches Wednesday & Thursday classes, 12:30-3:30pm, beginners welcome.
Ann Randeraad offers lessons in studio 209 at the Alton Mill. Current revolving pottery classes at the Alton Mill are offered on Wednesday mornings, with other times available throughout the week. Class sizes are small, enabling students to gain new skills rapidly. Classes are offered in 6-week sessions with a two-hour class each week and students can start at any time. Ann also offers corporate team building workshops, women's pottery parties, and children's birthday parties.
In addition to special, seasonal classes and workshops, CJ Shelton offers drawing sessions entitled Seeing With New Eyes on Sundays (10am and 1pm) and Wednesdays (1pm) weekly. These classes will demystify the fundamental skills of drawing, and you'll learn to see things differently. Bring your own art supplies, inspiration is provided! Suitable for all levels and abilities. In Fall 2017, CJ is offering the following seasonal workshops:

Mark Grice teaches painting in the atmospheric Bridge Workshop. He offers a variety of formats including Painting Parties, Group Painting activities, Girls Night Out, private and group lessons. A supportive, comfortable environment creates satisfying results! Fall Painting Parties begin on September 10th, from 1pm-4pm. Spaces are filling up, so contact Mark to book your space.
Try your hand at painting with beeswax in The Hive Encaustic Studio. The Hive offers on-going five-day, one/two day or half-day workshops at various experience levels for both adults & children. See what all the BUZZ is about and "Give it a Whirl!" on September 16th, 24th, or October 1st.
